Seasons & Time

Axolkin runs on a real-time clock tied to US Eastern Time (ET). Seasons rotate weekly and the day resets at midnight.

Every 15 minutes, the game processea a “tick” which updates the game.

Use /axol time to check the current season and time period at any point.

Seasons follow a 4-week cycle. Each real-world week is one in-game season:

Catching - Some species only appear during specific seasons. See Catching for details.

Farming - Winter freezes the farm entirely. All crops are destroyed when winter begins, and you cannot plant until spring returns. Bel’s crop prices also get a +50% bonus during winter to compensate for the lost growing time.

Weather - When a new season starts, any weather that’s invalid for the new season resets back to clear.

Time periods determine which species can appear when catching. All times are in US Eastern Time.

At midnight Eastern Time each day:

  • /pray becomes available again (once per day)
  • Bel’s crop prices update with new daily variation
  • A “new day” announcement is posted to the server

A background tick runs every 15 minutes to process game updates. This is when the following happens:
