Catching

Use /catch. After a short time, an Axol will appear. Press the button before the catch window closes. If you don’t press in time, it will escape. The rarer the Axol, the faster you have to be!

The Axol you encounter depends on your catching pool, the current season, time of day.

Pools have different Axols with different encounter rates. You start with Splash Zone and unlock more by progressing through the jump league.

Use /catch pool:Pool Name to catch from a specific unlocked pool. Higher pools give access to rarer and more exclusive species.

Every Axol species has multiple variations with differents. Try to catch them all! You can use /axol dex and /axol dexinfo to see how many different variations there are and which ones you’ve seen.

Higher rarity axols are more difficult to catch - you need to move fast!

Bait reduces the bite delay when catching, so Axols appear faster after using /catch. Bait is crafted via /craft and lasts 30 minutes once used.

Premium Bait🐟-8s bite delay

Only one bait can be active at a time — using a higher tier replaces the current one.

See Crafting for bait recipes.

Some species only appear during specific seasons or time periods. See the full Seasons & Time page for how the clock works.

Use /axol time to check the current season, time period, and which species are currently available.

Weather changes periodically through random events and affects attribute-based catch rates.

When a weather type is active, species with matching attributes get a spawn boost. Use /weather to check the current conditions.

See Random Events for how weather changes occur.

Every catch has a very small 1 in 4,096 base chance of being shiny. Shinies have a unique sprite. Every shiny has a ✨ next to its name.

Ways to boost shiny odds:

SourceEffect
Shiny Token (consumable)Guarantees next catch is shiny
Shiny Charm (key item)+1 shiny chance
Catching Bonus (effect)+1 shiny chance
Shiny Dust (consumable)+1 shiny chance for 30 minutes

All shiny bonuses stack additively.

Try catching shinies during Golden Hour! Golden Hour is every day from 10-11AM ET and 10-11PM ET and gives 2x shiny rates.

Every catch gives you 1 Essence matching the creature’s attribute (e.g. catching a Fire creature gives 🔥 Fire Essence). Shiny catches also give 1 💎 Shiny Essence.

Essences are used in crafting to make lures, serums, and more. See the full Materials reference for details.
