Getting Started

Axolkin is a free game played inside Discord. Catch, farm, cook, explore dungeons, breed, and compete — all without leaving Discord.

If you like Neopets, Tamagotchi, or Animal Crossing, you’ll feel right at home.

The fastest way to start: Open the Activity in any voice or text channel. A tutorial will walk you through your first catch and guide you from there.

You can also use slash commands like /catch — both the Activity and commands work together and share your progress.

Game Flow

Progression

Catch Axols→Set Companion→Bond & Play/Jump League→Unlock New Pools

You can catch as many Axols as you want — but to discover rarer species, you’ll need to unlock new catching pools. Progress through Jump League (slash commands) or purchase pool unlocks in the Activity shop. Bonding with your companion along the way unlocks powerful perks.

The Farm Loop

Buy Seeds→Plant→Water→Harvest→Sell / Cook / Feed→∞

Farming is steady income. Sell your harvest to Bel (NPC) or other players for coins, cook meals for temporary boosts, or feed berries to your companion to strengthen your bond.

Companion & Bond

Set a companion after catching your first Axol. Your companion earns Bond XP (BXP) from playing together — pet, play, and feed berries from the Companion page in the Activity or via /companion set.

Feed berries to boost BXP — using your Axol’s preferred berry type gives 1.5x BXP. Grow berries on your farm, get them from drops, or buy from other players.

Currency

Coins are the universal currency in Axolkin. Here are the best ways to earn them, especially early:

Idle Ventures — passive coins while you’re away
Watering — water other players’ farms for coin rewards
Treasure Dive / Heist / Ruins — quick coins from minigames
Farming — harvest and sell crops to Bel
Feeding Frenzy — earn coins in real-time as you play
Events — participate for bonus rewards
Daily Prayer — use /pray once per day

Spend coins in the Shop Hub (Activity) or /shop on seeds, equipment, cosmetics, and upgrades.

Idle Ventures

Send an Axol on expeditions for passive coins and materials while you’re away. Manage ventures from the Activity or via /venture send.

You start with 1 venture slot and can unlock up to 3. Ventures auto-repeat when completed.

Farming

Buy seeds, plant, and harvest! The Activity has a full farm view — tap plots to plant, harvest, and manage your crops. You can also use slash commands like /farm view and /farm plant.

If other players water your crops they’ll grow faster! Each crop shows a countdown timer so you know when it’s ready.

Protect your crops with a scarecrow (craft one from the Craft & Cook page) or pests will eat them when they’re ripe.

Ask other players to water your crops for bonus yield! Craft a scarecrow to protect against pests.

Sell harvests to Bel for coins (prices change daily). Cook crops into meals for temporary boosts - try Coral Crumble (3 Coral Fruit) for a 5-minute Catching Bonus.

Jump League

Enter with /jump league. There are 24 leagues (Puddle → Galactic) plus Endless Space.

Win 3 of each tier to advance. Clear all tiers in a league to move to the next one.

Stats (Power, Endurance, Agility) determine jump distance. Focus boosts crit chance.

Minigames

All minigames are playable from the Arcade in the Activity. Treasure Dive, Heist, and Ruins are also available via slash commands.

Treasure Dive

Take your Axol to explore the depths. Pick 1 card each turn to descend. Get treasure, avoid sharks and krakens, and don’t run out of oxygen! If oxygen hits 0, you lose everything.

Ruins

Multi-floor dungeon exploration. Collect as much treasure as you can! Fight guardians for keys, dodge traps, loot treasuries, unlock vaults, and heal at shrines. If your HP hits 0, you lose everything.

If you’re lucky, you might find some exceedingly rare items while exploring!

Heist

Navigate security gates to steal loot. Each gate is a random puzzle! Failed gates raise the alarm - get caught and you lose everything!

Feeding Frenzy

An Activity-exclusive multiplayer arena game. Eat food to grow, absorb smaller players, and climb the leaderboard. Earn coins in real-time as you play.

Stream Racing

An Activity-exclusive multiplayer racing game. Race down a river, dodge obstacles, and pull off tricks for bonus speed. Solo and multiplayer modes available.

Shop & Cosmetics

Browse the Shop Hub in the Activity or use /shop to buy seeds, equipment, cosmetics, tonics, and more. The Activity also has a Bazaar where you can buy and sell items with other players.

Dress up your Axol with cosmetics from the Companion page in the Activity or via /axol customize. Earn cosmetics from the shop, events, tournaments, voting rewards, and milestones.

Pond & Ranch

Place Axols in your pond to show them off! Manage your pond and ranch from the Activity or via /pond view. You can customize your pond skin, too.

Axols in your pond can be paired to breed eggs in the nursery. Pair Axols and hatch eggs from the Activity’s Nursery page or via /nursery view. Certain Axol pairings produce unique combinations.

The Ranch is like a second pond. It also lets you harvest tails — a key crafting material. Harvest from the Activity’s Pond & Ranch page or via /harvest. Tails regrow every 8 hours.

Catching Pools, Rarities & Seasons

Unlock more pools to catch Axols from by advancing through Jump League or purchasing them in the Activity’s pool shop. Some Axols can only be caught in specific pools.

Some Axols only appear in certain seasons or times of day (Dawn, Day, Dusk, Evening - all ET). Axolkin changes seasons every week on Sunday.

Shinies: Every Axol you catch or hatch has a small chance of being a shiny with special art! If you try catching Axols during golden hour (twice every day), you’ll have better luck.

Here’s what to do daily — most of these can be done from the Activity:

Voting

Use /vote every 12 hours to vote on Top.gg. Each vote rolls a random reward from a pool - earn coins, items, vote exclusive cosmetics, or random effects. On the weekends, every vote counts 2x so you get twice the rewards!
