Community Guidelines

Axolkin's social features (plaza chat, bulletin board, mail, friend visits, player cards, emotes) work because most players show up and treat each other well. These guidelines describe what's expected, what's not allowed, and what happens when someone crosses the line. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The Short Version

• Be kind. The plaza is shared space.
• If you wouldn't say it to a stranger at a coffee shop, don't say it in chat.
• Report bad behavior; don't engage with it.
• Children under 13 should not use Axolkin's social features.

What's Not Allowed

The following content and behavior is prohibited anywhere it can be seen by another player (plaza chat, bulletin board, mail, drawings, display name, player card caption, home decoration, or anywhere else):

Harassment & Hate

• Targeting another player with insults, slurs, threats, or persistent unwanted contact
• Hate speech or content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Encouraging others to harm themselves or others
• Coordinating group attacks or pile-ons against another player

Sexual & Adult Content

• Sexually explicit text, images, drawings, or innuendo
• Any sexual content involving minors, real or fictional. This is a permanent ban with no warning.
• Content that exists primarily to make other players uncomfortable

Violence, Self-Harm & Illegal Content

• Graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying violence
• Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, including drug solicitation

Privacy & Impersonation

• Sharing another person's private information without permission (real names, addresses, phone numbers, login credentials, photos)
• Impersonating Axolkin staff, moderators, or other specific players
• Pretending to be someone with authority you don't have ("I'm a dev, give me your account")

Spam, Scams & Cheating

• Repeated low-effort or copy-pasted messages designed to flood chat
• Scams, phishing links, or fake giveaways promising real-money or off-platform rewards
• Trading or selling accounts, virtual items, or currency for real money outside Axolkin
• Botting, scripting, exploiting bugs, or using third-party tools to gain unfair advantage
• Creating alt accounts to circumvent a ban, mute, or block

Disrupting the Experience

• Posting content designed to break or slow down the game (extremely long messages, character flooding, etc.)
• Repeatedly steering plaza chat or bulletin posts off-topic in ways that make the space unusable
• Following another player around to disrupt their gameplay

How We Enforce This

We use both automated filters and human review to look for content and behavior that breaks these guidelines. When we find a violation, the response depends on what happened:

• Content removal — The post, message, or display field is hidden or replaced. You may receive a notice.
• Feature timeout — Temporarily blocked from chat, mail, bulletin posts, or other social features for a set duration.
• Account suspension — Temporary loss of access to Axolkin (typically days to weeks) while a violation is reviewed.
• Permanent ban — For serious violations, repeat offenses, or sexual content involving minors.

The escalation isn't a strict ladder. Severe violations (CSAM, doxxing, credible threats) skip straight to permanent ban. Minor violations (mild profanity outside the spirit of these rules) may just get content removed without further consequence.

Decisions are at Axolkin's discretion. We can't always provide detailed explanations for moderation actions, especially when doing so would compromise other users' privacy.

How to Report

If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines:

1. Don't engage. Responding rarely helps; it usually escalates.
2. Block the player if their content is making the game unpleasant for you. Blocking hides their messages from your view going forward.
3. Report. On our Discord server in the #report channel, or by emailing abuse@axol.gg.

Helpful info to include:

• The offending player's display name (or Discord ID if known)
• The approximate time it happened (your timezone is fine)
• Where it happened (plaza chat, bulletin board, mail, etc.)
• What was said or shown, in your own words. Screenshots help if you have them.

We retain logs of plaza chat, bulletin posts, and mail for a limited window (see our Privacy Policy) so we can investigate reports even after content has aged out of view.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action against your account was a mistake, email appeals@axol.gg with your account name and the action being appealed. We review appeals individually. Decisions on permanent bans for severe violations (CSAM, real-world threats, repeat severe offenses) are typically final.

Children & Age

Axolkin is for players age 13 and up. We do not knowingly let users under 13 access the social features. If you believe a player is under 13, please report it so we can take appropriate action. Parents or guardians who believe their child is using Axolkin can contact privacy@axol.gg to request account removal.

Updates

We may revise these guidelines as the game's social features grow. Material changes will be announced on our Discord server and reflected here with an updated date. Your continued use of Axolkin after changes means you accept the revised guidelines.
