Catching
How Catching Works
Section titled “How Catching Works”Use /catch in any bot channel. After a random delay (2–8 seconds), an Axol bites — press the button before the catch window closes. If you don’t press in time, it escapes after 10 seconds.
The variant you encounter is determined by your catching pool and the current season/time of day. Higher-rarity Axols have shorter catch windows, making them harder to catch.

| Rare | 6.8s | 10 |
| Epic | 5.2s | 4 |
| Legendary | 3.6s | 1 |
| Cosmic | 2.8s | 0.5 |
| Astral | 2.0s | 0.1 |
Catching Pools
Section titled “Catching Pools”Pools are curated sets of variants with their own rarity distributions. You start with Splash Zone and unlock more through league progression.
| Pool | Unlock Requirement |
|---|---|
| Splash Zone | Always available |
| Greater Depths | Gulf (League 8, Tier 1) |
| Atmospheric Heights | Troposphere (League 12, Tier 4) |
| Solar Sea | Orbital (League 17, Tier 1) |
| Cosmic Constellations | Solar (League 20, Tier 4) |
Use /catch pool:Pool Name to catch from a specific unlocked pool. Higher pools give access to rarer and more exclusive variants.
There is also a milestone-locked pool:
| Pool | Unlock Requirement |
|---|---|
| All Blue | Catch 10,000 critters (milestone) |
Seasons & Time of Day
Section titled “Seasons & Time of Day”Seasons rotate on a weekly cycle. Some variants only appear during specific seasons.
| Season | Months |
|---|---|
| Spring | March – May |
| Summer | June – August |
| Fall | September – November |
| Winter | December – February |
Time periods affect which variants can appear:
| Period | Hours |
|---|---|
| Dawn | 6 AM – 8 AM |
| Day | 8 AM – 4 PM |
| Dusk | 4 PM – 7 PM |
| Evening | 7 PM – 6 AM |
Use /axol time to check the current season, time period, and which variants are currently available.
Weather
Section titled “Weather”Weather changes periodically through random events and affects attribute-based catch rates.
When a weather type is active, variants with matching attributes get a spawn boost. Use /weather to check the current conditions.
See Random Events for how weather changes occur.
Shiny Variants
Section titled “Shiny Variants”Every catch has a 1 in 512 base chance of being shiny. Shinies have a unique alternate sprite but identical stats.
Ways to boost shiny odds:
| Source | Effect |
|---|---|
| Shiny Charm (key item) | 2x shiny chance |
| Catching Bonus (effect) | 2x shiny chance |
| Shiny Token (consumable) | Guarantees next catch is shiny |
The Shiny Charm and Catching Bonus stack multiplicatively. With both active, your effective shiny rate is 1 in 128.
