About Axolkin

Hi there!

This is @_justcasual, the creator of Axolkin. I wanted to say a quick thanks for checking us out and for your support.

Axolkin was born as a passion project. I’d been building private Discord game bots for online friends in my private server and was having so much fun doing it that I wanted to try bringing something to the broader Discord community.

In many ways, Axolkin is a love letter to a lot of games I fell in love with growing up: Pokemon, Neopets, Club Penguin, and Animal Crossing. These are simpler games, but there is a unique charm in playing a game that is simple in its form factor but has deeper, complex layers. I also think that being constrained to the limitations of a Discord server - commands, buttons, and embeds - makes for a fun creative challenge when it comes to crafting an interesting and fun game.

My goals for Axolkin are ambitious, even though it is just me working on it. I’d love to scale this to a server with thousands of members so I can bring exciting and fun experiences and a sense of community to many around the world. Nothing would make me happier! I’d love to eventually have the resources to assemble an art and even music team to breathe more life into this world we’ve built, or to bring it to other platforms.
